2022 Scholarship Recipients

We had a great pool of applicants for the Be All The Things Scholarship in 2022. Our two recipients are both dynamic and will offer so much to the world upon graduation. Read more about them below.

Mariah is a first generation Black student from Antigo, Wisconsin. In second grade, Mariah lost her hearing in her left ear which eventually lead to her majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with an emphasis in Audiology. Her desire to pursue these studies was not only because she wanted to give back to the professional community who helped her with her hearing loss, but she also wanted to bring more representation to the field - something she wasn’t exposed to growing up. In addition to her studies, Mariah is also the Vice President of Sigma Delta Roo, the only multicultural sorority on the UWSP campus.

Cynthia is a first generation Hmong student from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Majoring in Media Studies, Cynthia will be serving in the Air National Guard as the Public Affairs Specialist for the 128th Air Refueling Wing military base. This specific location is known for acknowledging the diversity among their military members and she hopes to bring more acceptance and tolerance of the LGBTQIA+ community in the military. Outside of her studies, she is an active member of the Hmong + Southeast Asian American Club.

Join us in congratulating our two deserving UWSP students!
