Our mission is to be an active partner in improving the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts at UWSP by providing scholarships for underrepresented students.

Be All The Things - The Scholarship

Join us as we work towards Endowment by raising $50,000 for our scholarship, leaving a lasting legacy for students in memory of Thuy Luu.

About the Scholarship - Thuy’s Legacy:

Non-traditional and Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) are severely underrepresented in colleges across the nation. In addition to low enrollment, there are fewer scholarship opportunities for this student population. Our goal is to help create more access to higher education for this specific student demographic.

Since its founding in 2017, our scholarship has awarded $5,500 in scholarships to non-traditional and BIPOC students at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. These funds have made pursuing higher education a viable option for students who do not have as many opportunities for financial assistance. Reducing this barrier to education has allowed our scholarship recipients the ability to Be All the Things.

Help Us Meet Our Goal:

Thuy’s passion for supporting her loved ones and the community around her created a remarkable legacy that lives on today through our scholarship.

We are raising $50,000 to create an endowed fund through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in memory of Thuy Luu. All funds raised will be invested with the goal of generating sustainable earnings that will support the Be All the Things scholarship for many years to come.

What is Endowment?

Endowed funds are meant to leave a lasting impact. The funds we raise will be invested  by the UWSP Foundation to generate annual earnings for our scholarship. By establishing an endowment, we can ensure Thuy’s legacy will live on for a lifetime.

Donations to endowed funds are tax-deductible.
